Is a style of expressive dance that incorporates elements of ballet, modern, jazz, and improvisation. It is characterized by its fluid movements, strong emotions, and innovative choreography.

Our contemporary dance class will typically begin with:

  • Warm-up

    To prepare the body for movement. This may include exercises to improve flexibility, strength, and coordination.

  • Choreography

    Dancers learn how to incorporate acrobatic skills into dance routines, often set to music. This can involve floor work, jumps, and lifts.

Contemporary dance is beneficial for people of all ages and fitness levels.

Contemporary 1: 8 – 11 years old

Contemporary 2: 12 – 14 years old

Contemporary 3: 15 years old and up
